Summary of Role:As an Application Security (AppSec) Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating security into the software development lifecycle by implementing and managing security tools within CI/CD pipelines. This role requires hands-on DevSecOps experience and a foundational understanding of cloud-native technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, and Docker security. You will collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring secure and compliant software deployment.2. What You Will Do:

• Implement and configure automated security scanning tools (SCA, SAST, DAST) within CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage security controls using IT automation tools such as Ansible.
• Enforce secure coding practices and integrate security throughout the DevSecOps workflow.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in containerized environments.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and cloud teams to ensure security best practices in cloud-native applications.
• Improve container security by assessing Docker images and securing Kubernetes workloads.
• Monitor, analyze, and mitigate security risks related to CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats, DevSecOps trends, and compliance requirements.

3. Required Skillset:Essential Skills:

• Hands-on experience in DevSecOps with expertise in security tooling integration.
• Experience implementing automated security scanning tools (SCA, SAST, DAST) in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in IT automation tools such as Ansible.
• Foundational knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Container Security.
• Strong understanding of application security best practices.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment across development, security, and cloud teams.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes security (RBAC, network policies, pod security).
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) security tools.
• Understanding of zero-trust security models and risk assessment methodologies.
