• Lead a variety of different initiatives with a global team of Engineers, working closely with the stakeholders to ensure governance, project delivery and Architecture to ensure requirements are met.
• Work flexibly across one or more DevOps \xe2\x80\x98pods\xe2\x80\x99 as the Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineer
• Build and manage Cloud environments to enable application deployments.
• Lead the engineering of solutions using Infrastructure As Code methods
• Ensure Operational and compliance activities are undertaken, and remediation actions planned for services and platform is highly available at all times.
• Provide quality assurance for engineering delivery and ensure best practice is followed throughout development and operations.
• Help to drive the Kubernetes platform forward to keep up with growing business demand.
• Support continuous improvement processes and contribute to engineering best practice working with other Infrastructure Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineers

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• You should be intensely curious about how large systems work, how they fail, and how to make them run reliably. You prefer CLIs over GUIs and automate anything you can.
• Hands-on Kubernetes Administrator skills with experience of building and managing K8s clusters at scale (100+ nodes). Understanding of Microservice Architecture with experience deploying microservices to cloud
• Advanced AWS knowledge with understanding and experience of migrating to Cloud. Good understanding of Cloud Architecture and networking concepts and connectivity. Familiar with IaC methods, provisioning cloud resources using Terraform or related technology
• Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills, experience in using various observability tools for large scale Kubernetes environments. Good to have experience in managing Infra/Code deployments using Jenkins pipelines
• Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Cloud Services, Application DevOps, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams. Good leadership and teamwork skills - Works collaboratively with DevOps Application \xe2\x80\x98pods\xe2\x80\x99 to provide the digital Cloud capability/skills required to deliver the service. Operational effectiveness - delivers solutions that align to approved design patterns and security standards.
• Experience of operating in a highly regulated industry (e.g. financial services). Experience of working in an Agile Scrum & DevOps environment including knowledge of scrum, management tools (e.g. Jira)
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
• Build effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.
• A successful track record of delivering complex projects and/or programs, utilizing appropriate techniques and tools to ensure and measure success.
• Primary Skills for this role: Kubernetes (Administration), AWS (Advanced), Terraform, Monitoring tools like Splunk, DataDog or any
• Secondary Skills: ISTIO or other service meshes, HELM, Python, Kong or other API gateway technologies, CI/CD tooling (Jenkins).
