Company IntroductionSkycore is a Boston-based mobile messaging services company with an office in Thane, Maharashtra. Our mobile marketing platform () provides mobile messaging software solutions to mobile operators, enterprises, and digital marketing companies. We have been in business since 2004, and we power messaging campaigns for some of the most successful brands and service providers globally. The Working Schedule is Full-Time, Monday through Friday regular hours with WFH benefits (Hybrid Model).

Skycore is seeking a Linux System Administration and DevOps Specialist to support the company's revenue-critical messaging platforms and products. Candidate should be a self-starter, requiring minimal support for day-to-day activities, and possess excellent time management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate would be a technical generalist with skills ranging from supporting production systems, and networks to web development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Tier2 and Tier3 support
• Critically analyze operational metrics, monitoring systems, and support escalations.
• Respond to Production support tickets- Incidents and Requests
• Prioritize issues and troubleshoot them independently while coordinating with Management, Business, and Product and Engineering teams.
• Work closely with Developers, QA, and Engineering teams to identify their technical issues, and resolve the same. Keep everything documented.l
• Must have 2-4 Years Linux systems engineering and administration.
• Knowledge of monitoring systems and configuration management systems (Cloudwatch, Nagios, Newrelic, Cacti, etc) - Optional.
• Remote Infrastructure Management is highly preferable
• Install new / rebuild existing servers. Configure hardware, storage, peripherals, services, settings, directories, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements of the company.
• Apply patches, upgrade OS, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
• Configure/add new services as and when necessary.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Introduce IT compliance policies to the New Joiners and Exiting Employees on request.
• Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.
• Manage internal projects aimed at improving the team's internal process and actively participate in external projects, ensuring that they follow General Mills infrastructure standards are implemented in a timely manner.
• Responsibilities include rotating on-call support and planned project activities. Candidates will be expected to be able to manage multiple commitments in a dynamic environment.
• In addition,candidates should be familiar with the majority of open-source software that is part of a typical Linux installation.

Skills

• 2-4 years experience in a customer-facing technical/product support environment. Preferably in an Operations or Enterprise service center.
• Operating systems -- AMI2, AMI2023, Centos 6,7 Ubuntu or Latest
• AWS (VPC/VPN/EC2/Route53/EC2 Recovery/RDS/S3/Elasticache)
• Full Knowledge: Web services (Apache, Ngnix and squid, Apache tomcat etc)
• VPN setup and configuration knowledge
• Fundamental Knowledge: Network technologies like DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN etc.
• Fundamental Knowledge: Technical Infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VPN)
• Fundamental Knowledge: IT Infrastructure Management
• Knowledge in open source services like Apache, FTP, SSH, rsync etc.
• Knowledge in Windows AD & LDAP configuration.
• Knowledge in Git Installation & Administration
• Knowledge in Docker
