Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Cloud Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have around one year of experience in cloud computing, API development, and server management. In this role, you will be responsible for developing APIs, managing cloud infrastructure, and implementing solutions for our managed hosting services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs for managing cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Configure and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx) and application environments (PHP, MySQL) on cloud platforms such as DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar.
• Implement user authentication and authorization mechanisms for accessing server resources.
• Create scripts for automating tasks such as server setup, backup, and monitoring.
• Assist in setting up and managing multi-tenant hosting environments, including virtual hosts and user-specific permissions.
• Monitor server performance and optimize configurations to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features and improvements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for server-related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately one year of experience in cloud computing and server management or eager to learn something in cloud computing.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Basic knowledge of API development and RESTful principles.
• Understanding of user authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve server and application issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms like DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar.
• Familiarity with PHP and Node.js development.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Up to ?8,000.00 per month
