What%27s this role about As a DevOps Engineer you will be contributing to the set-up, management and improvement of a multi-project DevOps capability, working closely with Client IT to put in place sustainable ways of working, improved delivery pipeline automation, and industry standard processes. Here%27s how you%27ll contribute: DevOps Engineer will provide services as part of a client multi-project Azure capability, working with upwards of five development teams. shall liaise closely with the IT Software Development Manager, with direction provided by Associate Director, Monarch Service Delivery Manager, working with DevOps engineers alongside the development scrum teams based in London and nearshore. . Delivering continuous integration and continuous deployment to maintain delivery cadence in conjunction with teams . Ensure end-to-end operability of solution and Delivering operational delivery automation and continuous improvement, assisting client to build sustainable capabilities in conjunction with IT Operations. . Delivering operational monitoring of components through integrated solutions . Representing changes in change management in collaboration with teams . Maintaining the end-to-end service delivery cycle . Building reusable and scalable solutions . Lead investigations to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems using a variety of techniques Ways of working . Evangelize Agile principles to help client to establish and continuously improve working practices . Motivate self and others to continually reflect, adapt to improve quality and delivery cadence . Maintain and improve your own skillset to ensure it stays relevant and aligned to best practice and industry trends . A diligent and conscientious approach to completing work on time and to an agreed, acceptable level of quality . Working in other technologies used at team beyond your core disciplines as required by strategic and project demands . Help others by undertaking tasks related to your discipline when required Skills required to contribute: Essential . 4+ years of professional experience working on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) . Production experience of containers and container orchestration tools (Docker/Kuberntes/ECS) . Experience in working with enterprise scale applications, API Gateways, high availability architectures, load balancing & disaster recovery . Knowledge of application and cloud security fundamentals . Experience of setting up CI/CD pipelines including production deployments . Solid troubleshooting skills . Experience building and working with logging and metrics solutions (ELK/Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana) . Commercial experience of at least one configuration management tool (Ansible/Puppet/Salt/Chef) . Knowledge of testing pyramids and their application to modern application architectures (microservices/SPAs) . Knowledge of modern infrastructure practices . Demonstrable experience of debugging applications in at least one major language (e.g. Java/Python/NodeJS/Go) . Knowledge of at least one package/dependency management system (e.g. Maven/Gradle/NPM/Composer/Yarn) . In depth experience of Git including development and feature based workflows and at least one Git solution (e.g. Github/Gitlab/Gerrit/Bitbucket) Desirable . Terraform . AKS .
