The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Linux, Docker, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying and managing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Containerization: Develop and maintain Docker containers for various applications and services.
• Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Amazon EKS.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system performance and availability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Security: Ensure the security of the infrastructure by implementing best practices, including IAM, security groups, and compliance checks.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the infrastructure and application stacks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices and support their needs.
Key Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience:
? 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
? Extensive experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
? Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
? Proven experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, and EKS.
• Skills:
? Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
? Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
? Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
? Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
? Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
? Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, IAM policies).
• Experience with other container orchestration tools (e.g., OpenShift, Mesos).
