DevOps Engineer II

TraceLink is seeking a full-time Dev-Ops Engineer to join our team and focus on our build

infrastructure and operations. If you\'re self-motivated, intellectually curious and motivated by supporting global organizations, you could be a good fit for our team.

Responsibilities

The Dev-Ops Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of build systems, release-centric components, as well as all related activities within the build and release process.

You will:

Design, develop and improve the build systems that takes advantage of our cloud-based

architecture.

Maintain code branches and perform integrations across branches using Git

Work closely with our QA and Development teams

Actively participate the release phases of the software development lifecycle

Automate the build and release of multiple projects

Prioritize multiple tasks based on project urgency.

Manage & build feature flags strategy.

Mentor junior DevOps.

Actively participate in support for build failures.

Skills and Requirements:

Candidates must possess the following skills and traits:

2+ years of experience in release engineering.

Experience in scripting (bash, ruby, python, etc)

Experience with version control (Git)

Experience in Kubernetes & Helm.

Experience with build tools (Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Gradle)

Experience with building applications of type - Java / JS etc.

Experience with software build and release best practices: version control, continuous integration, and software life cycle

Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and clearly, and

collaborate with other disciplines

BS degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent required

Helpful skills and experience:

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Experience with Amazon AWS deployment and services

Helpful skills and experience:

Familiarity with the concepts involved in running cloud-based applications on platforms such as Amazon Web Services

Experience with the pharmaceutical industry
