Job Description

Tilda Research, based in San Francisco, is an innovator in clinical research execution. We focus on data integration, site-wide automation, and real-time operational metrics to enable faster bench-to-market solutions for our research partners. We operate a growing network of clinical research sites in the US, and our team has worked on over 250 pan-indication Phase I through IV studies. We are currently in stealth and have a limited web presence (we are a scaling post-Series A startup). Our founders are successful serial entrepreneurs, with three of their past companies leading to IPOs (VMware, MobileIron) or exits (LexentBio acquired by Roche).


We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build a Tilda cloud platform that improves the customer experience. Additionally, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a DevOps engineer who can be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering be familiar with Go and Python and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The DevOps engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in project management decisions.

Responsibilities

• • Building and implementing new development tools and CI/CD infrastructure
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixesWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Deploy updates and fixes, and provide support where needed
  • Build tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
  • Develop scripts to automate visualization
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • The DevOps Engineer acts as a Site Reliability Architect to solve Operational problems by applying engineering practices
  • The DevOps Engineer creates a bridge between development and operations by applying a Software engineering mindset to system administration topics applied to the application development process, infrastructure deployment, and operations processes

Minimum qualifications:

• • 8+ years Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
  • 3+ years of good working experience with Kubernetes is critical
  • 3+ years experience with maintaining always-on production and staging environments
  • 3+ years experience with building, configuring & managing CI/CD pipelinesProficiency with Git and GitHub workflowsProficient with Go and Python
  • Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and managing application
