DESCRIPTIONA Device Associate, owns manual execution of a well defined test plan or set of instructions for a list of features of a product, as per the defined productivity and quality targets, adhering to the SOP. The mission of the team is to ensure high quality of the features or devices launched in the respective Alexa domain supported.Key job responsibilities
You test small components and features related to an Amazon device, application, or service. You follow SOPs and execute tasks assigned to you on a daily basis. You raise defects for all failures observed and track doubts related to the execution of test instructions through pre-defined mechanisms. You strive to meet productivity and quality baselines. You acquire knowledge from peers, on-the-job training. You seek help from peers and/or your manager when instructions are unclear or if you are uncertain about a procedure. In the event of a problem, you are able to proceed when a workaround is recommended.About the team
Alexa Daily Essentials team tests components - Timers, Reminders, Calendars, Notes which are regularly used by customers, across different platforms - Alexa devices, Mobile - iOS/Android and Fire TVs. The primary charter is to test and certify software releases on the above mentioned platforms on a regular cadence. When there are new features or new devices the team gets to experience it first hand before launching to customers.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Chennai, TN, INDBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor\'s degreePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
