Job Posting Title : Development Process Engineer Location : BorgWarner , India Technical Center, Bengaluru Experience required : 8 - 12 years in similar position in the Automotive or IT industry Education Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics /Communication / Electrical /Instrumentation. Position Summary In this position you will be part of the India Technical Center in Bengaluru and will be supporting the different development areas to achieve the required quality standards. You will be the bridge between the teams that define the organizational standards, the global functional leaders and the project development team. In this manner, you shall use your experience and knowledge, together with the development team feedback, to propose effective tailoring of the standard processes according to the project needs, making the most of the tools and automatization. You shall also transfer lesson learnt to the process definition owners. You will train, coach, and support the project teams, either local or distributed, to be able to apply the processes agreed and use wisely the tools, also including the preparation of the assessment defense. You will track, analyze, and report the quality of releases, extracting the information available in the different tools, by performing process adherence and work product sanity checks. The position will require cross-competency collaboration and offers the opportunity to work in a team environment with individuals and groups located in Europe. Major Job Responsibilities Responsible for the process deployment and improvement according to Automotive SPICE and correspondent part of the ISO 26262 into the assigned project. Lead project teams in the usage of EDF Business Unit/Product Line Processes, Methods and Tools. Use of systems/software experience and lessons learned to drive engineering project teams to achieve their quality goals. Work closely with the engineering teams to monitor performance of the processes. Perform assessments of work products and adherence to process. Raise and track process problems to closure. Perform checks of document consistencies and accuracy. Identify and escalate issues for non-compliances. Management of the configuration items, keeping track of the status and baselines of the different work products that will conform to an external release. Support change request coordination, ensuring their correct management. Understand tools used to guide/implement the processes. Create and maintain dashboards (quality assurance/problem and change management) for reporting to the project and matrix organization. Report quality status of releases Essential Job Requirements / Skills . Demonstrated Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Software Quality Assurance competency. . ASPICE Provisional/Competent Assessor . Experience delivering a system/software product. . Experience in using the V cycle for engineering development. . Working knowledge of ASPICE, ISO26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO21434 (Cybersecurity). . Process area expertise. Good IT skills. Script languages valuable (Python, Batch, ) Soft Skills . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. . Proven ability to influence others, set direction and priorities. . Maintain the focus on the big picture and its goals. .
