This role involves offering expert academic advice, mentoring students in their course selection, and assisting them in navigating the various programs we offer. The Academic Counsellor will work closely with both students and faculty to ensure academic success and career readiness.Key Responsibilities:- Provide academic guidance and counselling to prospective and current students.- Assist students in choosing the right course and track according to their skills and career goals.- Monitor student progress and provide recommendations to enhance learning outcomes.- Address student concerns regarding course materials, schedules, and any academic challenges.- Collaborate with faculty and other staff to enhance student satisfaction and success.- Support students in securing internships, placements, and industry exposure.- Organize workshops, seminars, and events to promote career development and skill-building.- Maintain detailed records of student performance and feedback.- Ensure students are aware of all necessary academic requirements, deadlines, and opportunities.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in any field; a background in Education or Psychology is preferred.- Proven experience in academic counselling or student support roles.- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to provide personalized support to students from diverse backgrounds.- Knowledge of IT training programs and career paths is a plus.Skills:- Empathetic, patient, and a good listener.- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.- Proficient in Microsoft Office and educational management systems.
