POSITION TITLE:Electrical Designer DEPARTMENT: Electrical LOCATION: Pune / Baroda II. POSITION SUMMARY To deliver safe, fit for purpose, electrical designs to an agreed schedule to meet a pre agreed budget. The candidate should possess diploma in electrical engineering with 10 - 15 years work experience in electrical design activities for oil and gas projects. III. NATURE AND SCOPE The Electrical Designer is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for the electrical design. Based on the execution strategy the designer will be responsible for performing electrical design on projects. IV. DIMENSIONS: Electrical designer supports the Lead Electrical Engineer/Designer on the project and provide necessary support for technical interface with AP project execution teams. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose, electrical design to an agreed schedule and construction budget. Responsible for producing all electrical design documents for assigned project. Providing support to other AP engineering centers as per requirment. V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Electrical Designer should have enough knowledge to perform following activities Generate all electrical design deliverables like SLDs, Layouts (Substation/PDC Equipment arrangement, Cable Tray/Trench/Duct bank, Power, Lighting, Earthing, Hazardous Area classification, Heat Tracing, FA/PA/Telephone) extracting MTOs, and modelling of Electrical facilities. Prepare Control Schematics, Interconnection diagrams, Wiring diagrams and provide the support to prepare cable schedules. Carryout Lighting calculation with AP available software and preparing lighting distribution scheme. Capable to interprete AP engineering standards, IEC/NEC requirements and generate deliverable to meet the standard requirements. Prepare/Review Electrical Panel Fabrication Drawings. Participate/carryout the model review, face the internal/external customers during review and resolve the tags received during model review. Experience and knowledge to effectively communicate issues and ideas. Interface with other discipline for Input to/from Electrical Guiding junior designers to carry out the project work and maintain good harmony and relation with designers/engineers. V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS A Diploma in electrical and work experience of around 9 - 14 years experience. Experience working with tools like Micro station/AutoCAD and SP3D/PDS/PDMS. Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills. Design experience in relevant industries like oil and Gas.
