Title Quality Control Engineer Location Ahmedabad, Gujarat Qualifications & Experience Required educational background: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering; specialization in solar power preferred. 7-10 years of experience within a solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company, in a role involving extensive design planning, engineering, and reviews. Previous experience in tasks such as manhour estimation, quality control plan preparation, procedure development, deliverable packaging, and communication matrix management. Proficiency in fluent English communication, both written and verbal, with stakeholders from India and Western countries. Role Requirements Independently drive and establish collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, on-schedule, and within-budget delivery of electrical design packages. Oversee quality control at the site, including inputs/outputs inspection and record keeping, laboratory functioning and sampling, and ensuring production adheres to norms. Prepare Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, and Project Quality Procedures to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Develop work procedures for various activities. Conduct quality checks on site work and inspect project materials/components, as well as oversee site execution work. Monitor and maintain proper quality standards at project sites. Ensure compliance with applicable manufacturing codes and implement Field Quality Assurance Plans. Initiate quality improvement activities and provide suggestions at all levels on the site. Take proactive measures to prevent mistakes and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Perform inspections at supplier works and project sites. Review Contractor bills and address site-related issues with government authorities. Assess sub-contractors\' Quality Control Plans and recommend corrective measures as needed. Provide feedback on major issues and facilitate necessary corrective actions to prevent project quality deviations. Support the Project Manager in creating necessary project management procedures and documents. Ensure thorough contract review and proper project closeout processes. Offer support to the Proposal/Project Manager on contractual quality matters during both tender and project execution phases. Analyze project data (Non-Conformities, complaints, lessons learned) periodically. Monitor proper closure of Non-Conformities and incidents. Responsible for enforcing personnel compliance with standards, Environment, Health, Safety regulations, specifications, and documented procedures on-site. Provide training to staff and subcontractor workers. Overall responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction through Quality Management System (QMS) implementation. Monitor site activities to prevent quality-related non-conformances. Address quality-related problems on-site, with client concurrence when needed. Conduct Management Review Meetings at the site to resolve issues, if any. Oversee laboratory testing and preparation of Quality Control Reports. Conduct internal audits at the site and nearby locations. Coordinate with clients and manage costs. Ensure implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS), Environmental Management Plan (EMP), and Occupational Safety and Health Assessment Series (OSHAS) on-site. Obtain Environmental Clearance (EC), Consent to Establish (CTO), and Consent to Operate (CTO). Oversee installation and commissioning of Solar Treatment Plants (STP) at sites. Monitor various material and soil testing activities. Maintain Quality Management and Sustainability Plans (QMSP) as per ISO standards. Ensure compliance with all procedures and systems related to quality, health, safety, and the environment at all project sites.
