Job Summary

The Design & Electrical Engineer is responsible for creating electrical designs, analyzing systems, and supervising the implementation of electrical projects. This role combines design expertise with hands-on engineering skills to deliver efficient and compliant electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting :

• Develop detailed electrical designs, layouts, and schematics using tools like AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and client specifications.

System Analysis & Development :

• Analyze electrical systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and civil systems.
• Evaluate project feasibility and develop innovative solutions.

Estimation & Documentation :

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical materials, equipment, and labor.
• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and project reports.
• Document testing procedures and results to ensure compliance with standards.

Installation & Testing :

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure the systems meet safety and performance requirements.

Compliance & Safety :

• Ensure designs and installations comply with local, national, and international electrical codes and regulations.
• Promote workplace safety during project implementation and maintenance activities.

Continuous Improvement :

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical design and technologies.
• Recommend and implement energy-efficient and cost-saving solutions.

Qualifications

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience :

• 3-4 yrs of experience in electrical design, estimation, or project management.

Skills :

• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
