About the role:The design engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design, development, and analysis of large power transformers and shunt reactors of global sites within the Siemens power transformer network. This will require the use of proper engineering principles and the application of transformer design rules.Technical Skillsxc2xb7 Perform mechanical design, development and analysis of the internal connections (leads design) of transformers and shunt reactors up to 400kV and its sub-assemblies and components.xc2xb7 Indepth knowledge and experience of preparation of internal layout, electrical clearances, magnetic distances, routing of leads inside tank, design of supports, coordinating lead exits with winding assemblyxc2xb7 Able to apply electrostatic/dielectric design concepts for high voltage leads and electromagnetic concepts for high current leadsxc2xb7 Knowledge of components used in internal connections like cables, busbars, HV lead exits, terminals, insulation supports, insulation papers, bushings, tap changers etc.xc2xb7 Basic knowledge of special processes like crimping and brazing.Key Skills:xc2xb7 Excellent written and verbal communication in English is necessary.xc2xb7 Self-motivated to produce high quality results within the time allocated, with limited supervisionxc2xb7 Experience with SAPxc2xb7 Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobatxc2xb7 Guide & nurture young talentsxc2xb7 Strong understanding of working in Global engineering center or equivalentWe dont need superheroes, just super minds.xc2xb7 Graduate or Diploma Holders in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.xc2xb7 8-10 years working experience as a transformer internal connection design engineer (or related roles)Weve got quite a lot to offer.
