Job Description

Role & Responsibilities :

Develop and design sheet metal components and assemblies using CATIA software.

Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for fabrication processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

Conduct design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.

Perform simulations and analyses to validate designs and identify potential issues.

Optimize designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability.

Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sheet metal fabrication.

Assist in the development and maintenance of design standards and guidelines.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Preferred candidate profile:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in design engineering within the fabrication or sheet metal industry.

Proficiency in CATIA software for design and modelling.

Skills:

Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles, fabrication processes, and materials.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Proficiency in drawing software, with a focus on CATIA.

Experience with simulation and analysis tools is a plus.
