Purpose of the role:
As a member of the electrical team, you will be responsible for developing best in class low voltage electrical distribution systems for premium segment motorcycles. Activities will focus on the development of motorcycle low voltage electrical systems, to include EDS, small and large components (sensors, actuators, and ECU/VCU, ABS modulator, dashboard), networks (CAN, LIN), circuit design, software development, approval of system requirement specification and deployment of requirement to various subsystem, and interface with the High Voltage as required to achieve project deliverables. Candidates must also be up to date with latest regulations, and national and international standards, and ensure commonality is targeted with other projects.
Role Description
Management of the design of low voltage vehicle EE architecture and integration of vehicle EE components on various development stages.
Implement requirements as received from the Systems Team
Review and approve vehicle packaging of EE components on the Chassis and Powertrain.
Participate and conduct assembly and serviceability study of vehicle EE components.
Review and participate on DFMEA, proprietary part DFMEA, process capability and design reviews.
Participation and support on communication tools development for manufacturing and servicing of products.
Run test simulations, failure analysis investigations, and EMC compliance of products.
Usage of PLM tools for managing D&D activities as per QSP.
Interact with vendors and stake holders for part development, verification, and validation.
Required Certification:
Automotive communication protocols
ISO6722 is preferred
IATF 16949 - working knowledge, certified auditor qualification is recommended
Certification on Cyber security requirements as per ISO 21434 is recommended
Certification on Software Quality Assurance process such as ASPICE or equivalent is recommended
Functional competency
Automotive EE system integration and testing
Functional integration testing and debug analysis of vehicle network ECU
Knowledge & experience on EMI/ EMC, global standards & compliance procedures
Knowledge on vehicle packaging of EE components and study of design for assembly, manufacturability
Software and hardware verification and validation processes and sign-off.
Knowledge and hands on experience on functional safety analysis, cyber security analysis
