Job Description

The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Design Engineer, Area Lead, or Lead with design responsibility for fire suppression scope on assigned projects. Job duties include: . Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals . Develop and routinely monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress . Develop/review project design criteria based on applicable local codes and client standards . Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure that they address all relevant project and regulatory requirements . Provide technical support in the development of permitting and subcontracting packages . Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Engineering or Architectural Engineering degree with relevant design experience in fire suppression systems . Professional registration in fire protection . Advanced knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national codes and standards . Technical skills and industry experience as required to produce accurate, cost effective, and code compliant designs in accordance with project requirements . Ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team to work effectively with both internal and external organizations Preferred Qualifications . Life sciences & pharma industry experience . Semiconductor & microelectronics industry experience . Metals manufacturing and processing industry experience . Ability to utilize AutoCAD to produce 2D diagrammatic drawings and sketches . Fire sprinkler hydraulic calculation experience using AutoSPRINK or HASS . Ability to utilize Revit to produce 3D fire suppression system models . Practical field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of fire suppression systems To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
