Position Summary:Support the PES \xe2\x80\x93 Motor Solutions Business Unit by executing Requisition Activities. This position is responsible for analyzing and designing routine/new motor Mechanical design support and documentation requests for Samples, New Model Releases and Engineering Changes within predefined time and zero error. Support Process Improvement for Flow Activities. Ideal candidate is one with a strong technical background and aptitude. The person will contribute to provide design support for orders/quotes as well as projects for the Motor Solutions business.Major Responsibilities:

• Assists with designs or improves routine components and products with a solid understanding of design tools and methods.
• Optimizes routine components and products with a solid understanding of analysis methods.
• Assists in solving routine problems with a solid aptitude for problem solving skills.
• May assist in capturing voice of customer and development of simple product specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements.
• Support Mechanical Design activities like Modelling, Drawing and bill of materials for the new product development, Cost Out for Global Motor Solution Business.
• Owns Sampling, New Model Releases, Engineering Changes and related requisition activities
• May assist in capturing voice of customer and development of simple product specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturing requirements.
• May assists in developing basic test plans from existing test protocol for routine products or components.
• Execute engineering change requests & release of new models/components for customer, MCOs, & NPDs.
• Partner with engineers & application team to produce required BOMs & drawings.
• Work with global teams such as engineering, operations, sales.
• Support various projects such as NPDs, cost out/redesigns, simplification.
• Perform other assignments as per business need & Apply, recommend, and follow lean initiatives/practices.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in motors, machines & electronics.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operation and use of CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks
• Knowledge of Mechanical Drawing Industry Standards, Tolerances, Notes, and Material Specifications.
• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication skills self-motivated & must work well with others while building relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Highly customer centric individual who moves quickly to resolve issues.
• Competent in Microsoft computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Professional, high-energy, inquisitive.
• Undertake work in an efficient and timely manner.
• Team-oriented and able to support multiple projects of varying size

Desired Education / Experience / Skills:

• Green Belt Trained or Certified.
• Experienced with a PLM (Product Life Management) system.
