Position description:
To design and develop engine electrical system for 2&3-wheeled vehicles by improving customer satisfaction, reducing cost by value engineering, supporting new product development, upgrading design and testing standards and demonstrating implementable new technologies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Eliminate engine electricals customer complaints and customer irritants by analyzing and resolving warranty failures
- Reduce engine electricals material cost by VA/VE
- Support in development of engine electricals for new product and upgrades to meet customer requirements
- Create and/or upgrade engine electricals test standards and testing facilities, design guidelines, SRS templates, DFMEA, DFX and Design Input Sheet templates
- Demonstrate implementable new technologies and features in engine electricals to improve performance, reduce cost, increase reliability and durability, add safety and security, improve customer comfort or reduce energy consumption and greeenhouse gas emission
- Prepare Invention Disclosure Forms for patentable ideas generated by self and team members to facilitate in patent filing
