What\'s the role Design engineer is the primary technical resource for the PMO responsible for designing of modular channel support system. He/She has to work in conjunction with sales, business developers, PMOs, BIM CC or any other technical teams. He/she is responsible for designing overall optimized solutions using Hilti installation system portfolio like MT and Oglaend. The person must have experience of working on structural software and understanding of structural analysis. He/she has to prepare the supporting solutions from customer inputs in forms of excel, STAAD output, AutoCAD drawings, REVIT/ Naviswork files and prepare the offering including structural designs, BOQ and trypical drawings. What does the role involve Provide complete engineered solution including structual calculations, BOQ and typical drawings for modular support systems used for various MEP and strcutrual applications. Project acquisition Support the BD/ KPM during project bidding or conceptual discussion stage With an assessment on the quality based on information from customer and/or past similar projects With quoting/estimating of engineering/ modelling services for the ISB projects Project Execution Based on the inputs provided by the customer, work out the optimized solution using Hilti Installation system. Preparing BOQ for the solution along with different options if needed Communicate with customer directly/ through KPM for missing inputs, clarifications, verification of input data etc. Collaborate with BIM Modelers in case frame agreement includes the same Develop and manage standards libraries for quick references for future projects Ensure proper documentation along workflow Professionally record your hours spent on the project and share them with the respective Project Manager on an agreed and regular basis Teamwork and development Establish excellent working relationships with fellow members of the PMO/ECC and functional counterparts in HAG or in the regions Actively learn and maintain Hilti and Oglaend product and application knowledge for all relevant solutions such as modular support, anchoring and cable tray, ladders systems. Learn from colleagues/ professional networks the codes relevant for support designs Work closely with AutoCAD Drafter and BIM modeler to provide full solution Communicate regularly with BDs/KPMs on any changes and also to explain the solution Accountability: Full compliant designs according customer needs without any dilution of safety norms/ codes Provide designs via BIM Proj Manager or KMP/BD Hilti India ranks16th on the esteemed Great Place to Work list for 2023. What you need is: Qualifications: Basic Education Bachelor\'s degree in structural, civil, or mechanical engineering Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience Special Knowledge Proficiency in structural software such as STAAD and RSTAB Familiarity with MEP guidelines like ASME is an advantage Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks Languages Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus Personal Skills / Core Attributes: Functional Expertise Background in structural/civil engineering Strong understanding of Hilti Installation software, including Profis Installation Familiarity with the complete Hilti installation portfolio, including MQ, MC, MI, MIQ, Oglaend Ability to comprehend customer requirements, including code regulations Understanding of anchor design and fastening on steel Understanding the Business Awareness of ISB strategy for MO India Sound comprehension of the commercial impact of different portfolio options Knowledge of the overall offering, including services like cutting-kitting and special logistics Understanding and Defining Tasks High learning agility and a willingness to delve into small details when necessary.
