Designation: Design Engineer

1. Job Purpose: The candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling engineering design for a material handling equipments manufacturing company with use of In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks software.

Responsible for Responsibilities:

In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks software

1. Assisting production team/ engineering staff in the design and development of components.

2. Interfacing with the engineering staff effectively to ensure the form, fit and function of designs while also working with the management to ensure cost effectiveness and manufacturability of designs.

3. Product Cost Analysis.
4. Collaborating with the engineering staff to produce design sketches and drawings and make necessary changes in accordance with applicable standards.
5. Preparing technical designs of products in accordance to the technical specifications received from clients and sales team.
6. Accurately incorporating welding symbols and tolerances into design drawings.
7. Reviewing and verifying design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by others to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function.
8. Using specialized software to create models and drawings of products.
9. Calculating factor of safety for every model.
10. Researching new materials and methods of development
11. Preparing BoQ/BoM for all the products
12. Ensuring components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
13. Considering cost effectiveness and safety of new designs

Requisite Skills

• 1+ years' experience in mechanical design.
• In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks software
• Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes
• Understanding of current cutting tool technology
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field

Relevant Experience: 1 Year

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
