URGENT OPENING FOR DRAFTING & DESIGN ENGINEER.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES:

Design Development: Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to develop detailed design drawings and plans for biogas plants and related equipment. This may include process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, equipment layouts, structural drawings, piping drawings (2D and Isometric), and tanks drawings

Drafting and Detailing: Use Auto-CAD & Solid Work software to create accurate and detailed drawings based on specifications and project requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Modifications and Revisions: Make revisions to existing drawings as necessary, incorporating design changes, clients / sites feedback, and engineering modifications. Update drawings to reflect any modifications or variations during the construction phase.

Bill of Materials: Prepare Bill of Materials lists based on drawings and specifications. Calculate quantities of materials required for construction, such as pipes, fittings, valves, structural components, and electrical components.

Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the design and construction phases. Address any design conflicts or issues that may arise.

Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of drawings produced. Review and verify drawings for compliance with project requirements, standards, and specifications.

Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation. Create and maintain a drawing register or database to track revisions and versions of drawings.

Site Support: Provide support during the construction and commissioning phases by addressing any technical queries, assisting with design-related issues, and coordinating with the construction team to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.

As-Built Drawings: Generate as-built drawings based on site modifications and final construction documentation. Update drawings to accurately reflect the actual built conditions

EXPERIENCE

ITI / Diploma (Mechanical) with preferably 6 to 8 years of relevant experience with previous hands-on experience in Oil, Gas or chemical Industry. The candidate should be well conversant with Design, Drafting, Plant layouts, piping layouts, vessels, structures of the projects.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

Technical Drafting Skills: Proficiency in Auto-CAD & Solid Work software and drafting tools to create accurate and detailed drawings. Knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, and conventions used in the biogas industry.

Biogas Plant Design Knowledge: Understanding of biogas plant components, processes, and systems. Knowledge of equipment and instrumentation used in biogas production, such as anaerobic digesters, gas storage systems, gas purification units, and generators.

Engineering Principles: Familiarity with basic engineering principles related to civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. Understanding of the interrelationships between different engineering disciplines and their impact on design and drafting.

Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layouts, structural drawings, and electrical schematics. Understanding of different drawing types and their significance in the overall design process.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze design challenges and develop solutions in collaboration with engineers and other stakeholders. Troubleshooting skills to address design conflicts or issues during the drafting process.

Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?38,000.00 per month
