The applications are used by over 6,000 designers.Job summaryThis is for the position of a IT Engineer who will have responsibilities for developing, administrating, configuring and maintaining applications used for HW Design data management. These applications include tools used for HW design workspace management, configuration management and publishing tools. The candidate should have an ability to grasp new technologies quickly and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate for this position will be required to demonstrate flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.This position is based out of Bangalore/ Noida India and offers opportunity to work in a globally distributed team where candidate will get a unique opportunity of personal development in a multi-cultural environment. The candidate will also get a challenging environment to develop expertise in the technologies useful in the industry.Primary responsibilities:

  • Supports the designer community by triaging tickets raised by the NXP designer community
  • Sets up new DesignSync vaults and DesignSync servers on request of the NXP designer community
  • Monitors DesignSync vaults and DesignSync servers and takes measures to avoid issues for the NXP designer community
  • Stops and starts DesignSync servers for planned infrastructure maintenance events
  • Upgrades existing DesignSync servers to a new version
  • Automates application setup/ installation including required configuration updates, and patches.
  • Develops and deploys new functionality related to the DesignSync platform
  • Develops and maintains/ improves automated application test suites.
  • The DDM DesignSync Engineer must take ownership of the assigned tasks and must be able to work on these tasks independently.
Job qualifications
  • University degree (BE/ BTech), or equivalent, in Computer Science
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the domain of design data management and configuration management
  • High level of skill in the Java and perl programming languages.
  • Working knowledge/ understanding of setting up/ managing applications on AWS.
  • Experience as configuration manager in a design team is a big plus
  • Understanding of Design Data Management processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Knowledge about ITIL processes
  • Experience with customer-oriented support, helping teams and colleagues before being asked, making issues known before they become critical.
  • Used to working in an international environment
