QUALIFICATIONS



B.E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Other branches will be considered only in exceptional cases.



You need to have minimum 4 - 10 years of experience in developing or customizing engineering CAD/CAM/CAE applications. Specifically, we are looking for customization skills in CATIA and NX. The candidate should be proficient in at least one of them.



In addition to customization skills, the candidate should have a broad knowledge of how these tools are used in real life. A minimum level of working knowledge in using the tools for basic tasks as an end user is expected.



You should also be able to understand and anticipate requirements, conceive a solution that meets the requirements, and design, build and test the solution on your own. You should be comfortable working with ill-defined requirements and should be able to cope with changing priorities. You would also be expected to document your work, train the end users and support them if needed. This would be an individual contributor position that requires lot of independent decisions, and the candidate should be able to handle complete projects from start to finish with minimal handholding.



Skillset



You should have good programming skills in C, C++, C#, VB.Net or other similar tools used in customizing NX and CATIA.



You should have a fair understanding of body-in-white tool design activities.



You should have handled customizations of intermediate level complexity in NX / CATIA from requirements gathering to deployment on your own.
