What about the Role and your Responsibilities?

  • You provide LEADERSHIP to the Service Team by "leading from the front" and being a role model for everybody in all situations, i.e. you "outwork everybody else", and you "model the way" in terms of interpersonal communication and behavior, and you encourage every team member to always "want becoming better and better in all we do".
  • You provide TRAINING to your team colleagues using a team-oriented approach in order to achieve maximum efficiency, as well as providing an extraordinary culinary experience to all our guests.
  • You take responsibility for LOGISTICS, no matter if that is the acquisition, maintenance, or repair of the dining room and bar equipment, or if that is purchasing of beverages and other supplies, or any other jobs to keep the wheels of operations running smoothly and efficiently.
  • As a skilled communicator, you also manage ADMINISTRATION matters as required, no matter if that is the planning of staff or events, doing reporting, e-mail handling, or any other task that is required to be successful, and you do so by applying your skills of technology and office applications like MS-Excel, Word, etc.
  • You understand the importance of COOPERATION between people and functions, i.e. you know that all departments of a company are of equal importance, and you actively support cross-departmental team building without prejudices about roles, ranks, and functions. You understand that respect is earned by performance, not by rank or seniority. And, last but not least, you understand the importance of non-discrimination based on race, community, gender, age, beliefs, language, etc.
  • While you have a wide range of authority and responsibilities, you do take your COMMITMENT seriously to follow senior management directions, accept guidance and criticism with a constructive and positive spirit, and at the same time provide proactive constructive feedback based on your own experience.
  • Your SERVICE MANAGEMENT responsibility focuses on improving the Client Experience at every step and level, by yourself and by all other team members, from the moment the restaurant opens in the morning until the restaurant closes at night. However, you also place great importance on managing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You also ensure food quality consistency is always maintained and improved, and you do so by continuously sharing your own and your guests' feedback with all the chefs and senior management. What are the Profile Requirements?
  • Capability to work as an "entrepreneur" within a company, i.e. works independently without supervision, as if the restaurant was truly your own. . Strong understanding of Leadership and Team Work principles, in line with the anticipated role and responsibilities.
  • Multiple years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, preferably in a luxury hotel, or a star-rated / award-winning stand-alone restaurant. International working experience would be a plus. . Strong written and oral communication skills.
