Job Description

1. Formulate and implement production plans as per various Sales targets, on day to day basis and responsible for achieving targets as per plan..2. Total Production, Planning and Control management.3. Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans in the plant to attain the productivity and cash profit targets,4. Organize and control all production operations within the plant to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, productivity, efficiencies and customer satisfaction5. Initiate and implement steps to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, energy and working capital.6. To develop and implement short and long term plans to ensure that the Plant has the necessary resources to meet business objectives and to participate in annual business planning and budgeting of the plant7. To develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the Plant, equipment, manpower and other resources are effectively utilized to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality targets.8. To plan and ensure adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance schedule and obtain highest degree of customer satisfaction9. To oversee quality testing (with Quality Manager) of all incoming raw materials, in-process product and of finished product with regards to defined parameters and provide support in case of any discrepancies/ issues.10. To develop good maintenance practices and ensure 0 down time of machines 11. To work as a balancing function between Inventory management (RM and FG), Sourcing/procurement, PPC, Stores, Maintenance and aim towards maximizing the line productivity.12. To reduce the inventory carrying cost by effective planning13. To be a leader, mentor and guide to the work force team including staff and workmen14. Responsible for maintaining peace and harmony in plant working and attend/resolve labour issue (if any) timely and in interest of organisation at all times.15. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
