About the function Contract management, in-house support to business, Pre-litigation dispute resolution, Litigation management, Handling investigations by various LEA\'s, Litigation reporting/ MIS management and management of day to day legal issues of the company. Purpose of the role The Manger Legal is a position with Tata Communications Payment Solutions Limited (TCPSL), based in the Corporate Legal team and reporting to the Litigation Head, Tata Communication and would be responsible for TCPSL within India region. 1. Managing contracts with different vendors, service providers, business arrangements, franchises, and other commercial arrangement with TCPSL. 2. Managing litigations before various courts/forums including personal liability/ criminal litigation against senior management. 3. Managing and representing in investigations by various Government and Law Enforcement agencies. 4. Managing pre litigation disputes with customers, vendors, and any other party. 5. evaluate complex legal and related operational issues and the risk associated with the same and manage such risk. 6. support to key stakeholders for day-to-day business/operational requirements You will be based at Mumbai for operational purpose and shall be responsible for All India. Roles & Responsibilities The incumbent will have the following role in Tata Communications Payment Solutions Limited (TCPSL): 1. Manage the legal portfolio of TCPSL and support the Litigations Head in litigation and pre-litigation dispute resolution, reporting and record management for TCPSL, TC and its subsidiaries. 2. Work very closely with internal business stakeholders and business teams on day to day business requirements and support from legal. 3. Close working with external lawyers and a team of lawyers for litigations / dispute resolutions. 3. The role need to have hands-on approach towards contract management, litigation and operations matters and work very closely with the inhouse team. 4. Establish and maintain effective relationship with external law firms, external advocates and senior counsels on a pan-India basis. 5. Manage senior internal stakeholders in TCPSL and its group companies for India operations. 6. Oversee and guide the legal resource/lawyer supporting the payment services business which involve banking laws, contracting and on matters of commercial and criminal laws. 7. Significant advisory work on wide areas of law affecting the Company\'s operations in India.
