Overview:
The main purpose of role is database product operations management . We are looking for people who can perform Product owner role for 2 technologies Oracle and SAP HANA. HANA being primary Skills
Main responsibilities will be Strategic Planning for database products,Database Infrastructure Performance, ensuring vendor KPI are delivered,Lead and manage the database administration team, setting clear expectations, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Accountable for team productivity, skill development, and overall team success.


Ensure optimal performance of SAP HANA and Oracle databases by implementing and overseeing performance tuning strategies.

Team Leadership:
Lead and manage the database administration team, setting clear expectations, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Accountable for team productivity, skill development, and overall team success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, network, and system administration teams, to ensure seamless integration of database systems.

Responsibilities:
Performance Management: Optimize SAP HANA , Oracle Products Meet or exceed performance metrics and KPIs.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the database administration team.Ensure team productivity and skill development.Strategic Planning:


Develop and implement strategic plans for database infrastructure.:Execute initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Security and Compliance:Establish and enforce database security policies.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Disaster Recovery:
Design and implement robust disaster recovery solutions.
Accountable for effective disaster recovery plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
Ensure effective communication and project success.
Capacity Planning:
Conduct capacity planning for current and future needs.
Scale infrastructure to avoid capacity issues.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with database technology vendors.
Negotiate contracts and optimize costs.

Documentation:


Drive continuous improvement initiatives.: Implement efficiency gains and optimizations.
Budget Management: Manage the budget for the database management function.
Allocate resources effectively.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate regularly with stakeholders.
Manage positive relationships and expectations. Qualifications:
Years of Experience :
15+ Years of experience on Database Products
8+ years experience in architecture designs
6+ years experience in Vendor management and Contract discussion
4+ Years experience in Azure.


Mandatory Technical Skills
:
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure management, with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering robust solutions for enterprise-level database environments .
Most Important skills are SAP HANA and Oracle.
MSSQL knowledge would be a plus
Performance Tuning and Optimization: Conduct regular performance assessments of database systems, implementing tuning and optimization strategies.
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Security and Compliance:Establish and enforce database security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to safeguard sensitive data.
Disaster Recovery and High Availability:Design and implement robust disaster recovery and high-availability solutions for critical databases.
Develop and maintain documentation for disaster recovery procedures.
Capacity Planning:Conduct capacity planning exercises to ensure that database infrastructure meets current and future business requirements.
Anticipate growth and scale infrastructure accordingly.


Mandatory Non Technical Skills :

Database Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of database administrators, providing guidance and mentorship.
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of database systems, with a primary emphasis on SAP HANA and Oracle databases.
Infrastructure Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans for database infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance database performance and reliability.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, network, and system administration teams, to ensure seamless integration of database systems. Manage Stake holders of Market
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on database performance, projects, and initiatives
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with database technology vendors, staying informed about product roadmaps, updates, and licensing changes.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and ensure favorable terms.


Differentiating Competencies:

Ability to drive outcomes working with vendor partners
Ability to take ownership and drive the issues till closure
Ability to take route of machine first mindset for approaches in running operations
