Our omni-channel, hybrid approach aims to serve the underserved through a modern retail experience. With an ML-based pricing model, we are expanding our network in East & North India, planning to open multiple stores in the coming years.

What are we looking for?

We seek an experienced and results-driven Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in setting up, managing, and enhancing our organization\'s financial performance and directing accounting operations. The candidate should have a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

- Financial Strategy: Develop financial strategies, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting.

- Accounting: Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances.

- Internal Controls: Create and monitor company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard assets and reduce fraud.

- Budgeting: Assist or fully create budgets, incorporating historical data.

- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and balance cash flows into and out of the business to meet obligations and optimize investment.

- Investor & Banking Relations Management: Build relationships with investors & bankers, supporting operations activities based on knowledge of the underlying business.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, tax provisions, and relevant industry and financial regulations.

- Reporting and Analysis: Provide financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making.

- External Reporting: Prepare company tax and financial statements.

- Stakeholder Management: Advise company managers on operations activities based on knowledge of the underlying business.

- Non-Trade Purchases: Directly handle commercial negotiations for non-trade purchases, maintaining a maker-checker balance.

- Note: Working knowledge of secretarial requirements is desirable.

Requirements:

- CA by Qualification, with a strong academic record.

- 12+ Years of relevant exposure in accounting management.

- Proven experience in accounting management, excellent interpersonal skills, auditing experience.

- Investor relations management experience.

- Comfort working in a startup environment.

- Analytical skills.
