About the Role
The Australian Government\xe2\x80\x99s overseas development program advances Australia\xe2\x80\x99s national interest by assisting developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve economic development. The Australia India Water Security Initiative (AIWASI) is a four-year Australian government-funded program to improve access to safe water and sanitation services for disadvantaged communities in Indian cities. AIWASI aims to achieve this goal by strengthening city-level water governance; undertaking investments that provide urban water services support to disadvantaged communities (particularly women and girls); and raising the profile of Australian expertise in urban water management and water sensitive cities (WSC).
