Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Image Processing: Utilize specialized software tools to process and manipulate three-dimensional dental imaging data, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans, intraoral scans, and surface scans.
• Segmentation and Reconstruction: Perform segmentation and reconstruction of dental structures, including teeth, gums, bones, and soft tissues, from raw imaging data to create accurate 3D models.
• Virtual Treatment Planning: Collaborate with dental professionals to plan and simulate dental treatments, including orthodontic interventions, dental implant placements, and oral surgeries, using virtual models and simulations.
• Prosthetic Design Support: Assist in the design and customization of dental prosthetics, such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants, by manipulating 3D models to achieve optimal fit, aesthetics, and functionality.
• Anatomical Analysis: Conduct detailed anatomical analysis of dental structures and surrounding tissues to identify pathologies, anomalies, and treatment considerations, supporting diagnosis and treatment planning decisions.
• CAD/CAM Integration: Integrate 3D manipulation software with computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems used in dental laboratories and clinics for seamless workflow integration.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of manipulated 3D models and virtual simulations through rigorous quality assurance procedures, including validation against clinical data and peer review.
• Documentation and Training: Provide training and support to dental professionals on the use of 3D manipulation software tools and digital workflows, including best practices for data acquisition, processing, and analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in biomedical engineering, dental technology, or related field. Additional certifications or training in dental imaging and 3D manipulation software may be beneficial.

Proficiency in 3D manipulation software tools commonly used in dental applications, such as specialized dental CAD/CAM software, image processing platforms, and virtual treatment planning systems.

Strong understanding of dental anatomy, physiology, and pathology, with the ability to interpret and manipulate three-dimensional imaging data acquired through various modalities.

Experience working in a dental laboratory or clinical setting, with knowledge of dental prosthetics fabrication processes, treatment protocols, and patient care workflows.

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with dental professionals, software developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and support services.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for data privacy, medical device manufacturing, and quality management systems in dental healthcare settings.
