Forging and developing relationships with Business Tower aligned partners, in addition to the GTIS support teams in global locations Participating with the transformation of the delivery service in line with the O&T strategy Representing the DM function across O&T Communicates with the business to define project scope and priorities Identifies, mobilises and manages resource requirements for delivery of the projects Management and coordination of the x86 platform estate. This includes server hardware installs, moves, additions, issue remediation and changes to multiple sites, offices and data centres and advanced hands-on configuration of infrastructure systems What will you be doing Delivering changes to the infrastructure in support of client requirements Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and standards Interfacing with internal stakeholders, engaging with 3 rd party suppliers, participation in service meetings Escalation of issues with internal teams and suppliers Undertaking work outside of direct responsibility when required, including some/all of the following: Maintaining server allocation details for new and re-use servers Allocate server names and IP addresses to internal project managers and support teams Managing the end-to-end server installation / move / configuration process Interfacing with Hardware Delivery Services - Procurement Team in procurement process Interfacing with GDS Build Team in build process Engagement at mobilisation phase with projects to provide advice and agree hardware requirements and timelines Raising appropriate requests for server installation, moves, additions, configuration and changes Raising Change Requests using change management tool Identification, implementation, development and automation of new processes that operations are and will be responsible for. What we\'re looking for: Basic understanding of data centre technologies, such as SAN, LAN/WAN networks, Blades Servers Basic knowledge of x86 platform Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in meetings / conference calls Training in communication techniques and handling of challenging interpersonal situations Willing to work flexible hours (early morning / late nights) in order to resolve issues with help from employees in other regions Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues in the above technologies Good time management skills Fluency in English is essential Qualifications and Experience Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with proven ability to work within a Project-related IT function.
