Job Summary: The New Car Delivery Coordinator is responsible for managing the process of delivering newly purchased vehicles to customers. This role involves coordinating & communicating with customers and dealership staff, ensuring vehicles are prepared for delivery, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the delivery process.Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Delivery Preparation: Coordinate with the sales team and service department to ensure that newly purchased vehicles are prepared for delivery according to customer specifications. This may include vehicle inspections, detailing, and installing any accessories or add-ons requested by the customer.
Delivery Scheduling: Schedule delivery appointments with customers based on their availability and dealership resources. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed prior to delivery.
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the delivery process. Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle delivery, address any questions or concerns they may have, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive delivery experience.
Vehicle Orientation: Conduct thorough vehicle orientations with customers upon delivery, providing them with a comprehensive overview of their new vehicle's features, functions, and controls. Answer any questions the customer may have and ensure they feel confident and comfortable with their new vehicle.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that all necessary paperwork, including sales contracts, registration documents, and warranty information, is completed accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Collect any required signatures and provide copies of relevant documents to customers.
Follow-Up and Feedback: Follow up with customers after delivery to ensure their satisfaction and address any additional questions or concerns they may have. Collect feedback from customers about their delivery experience and use this information to improve future delivery processes.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle deliveries, including delivery dates, customer information, vehicle specifications, and any relevant documentation. Ensure that all delivery-related records are organized and easily accessible for reference.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree, Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in automotive technology or customer service is a plus.
Previous experience in a customer service or automotive dealership role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and dealership staff.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of automotive features, functions, and technology preferred.
Familiarity with dealership processes and paperwork, including sales contracts and registration documents.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a dealership setting, with occasional travel required for vehicle deliveries.
Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate customer delivery appointments.
