As a DBT ETL Expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines using the Data Build Tool (DBT) framework. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, extract data from various sources, transform it to meet analytical needs, and load it into our data warehouse. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of our data processes, enabling stakeholders to make data driven decisions with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Overall 5 yrs experience with various data platforms, data warehousing initiatives including at least 2 implementation experience with airflow and DBT.
- Develop and maintain data models, transformations, and SQL queries within the DBT framework to support reporting and analytics initiatives is mandatory.
- Thorough understanding and application of AWS services related to Cloud data platform is mandatory AWS S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift.
- Implement best practices for data modelling, schema design, and version control within DBT, ensuring consistency and scalability across projects is mandatory.
- Optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes to improve performance, reliability, and data quality.
- Should Ability to translate the tech spec into working code
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in ETL technologies, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate like Airflow and DBT specific CICD, Version Control and Automated Testing.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to deploy and monitor ETL pipelines in production environments.
- Preferably a DBT certified professional
