Job Description

5 to 10 years of relevant experience as DB2 LUW - DBA. o Support and operations of DB2 LUW, QREP and CDC solutions implementation o Handling Incident, change and problem for DB2 LUW,QREP and CDC (ITIL) o Proactively review and address database performance and capacity trends. o Applying/automating fix packs, cumulative updates and hotfixes o Perform Health check activities, monitoring, backup, space management and maintenance. o Follow-up CIRATS i.e. Compliance, Issue, Risk o User management and BAU activities o Setup and maintenance of Data replication services o Disaster recovery and business continuity planning o Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery. o Database performance tuning and troubleshooting o Occasional (part of a rota) 24•7 on call support for DB2 LUW ,QREP and CDC portfolio and applications o Provide best in class solutions for all business needs. o Explore and help organization to implement best technical practices / recommendations to reduce technical debt and cost. o Managing and maintaining physical databases including database storage management, procedures and tools for access, database security, monitoring and tuning the database o Analyzing system storage capacity and recommending improvements to ensure efficiency. o Assisting in the design and implementation of the physical framework of the database o Provide support to Operational DBAs when required with respect to database tuning and performance tuning.
