VP is responsible for upholding the profitability and values of an organization by leading business operations. Their duties include consulting with senior leadership personnel to determine business goals or initiatives, visiting with Directors or Department Managers to relay information about company needs and reviewing operational data to make inferences about their organizations success.
VP should have command on the business domain and should be familiar with Investment banking concepts specifically related to German markets/European markets.
Domain knowledge on one or multiple sub-domains is preferred. Major domain areas listed below:
Trade Processing- Trade Lifecycle, Settlements(Matching/Fails), Non Trades, Cancellation and Corrections
Tax Services- International Tax Reclaims, Compensation Tax Processing (Abgeltungssteuer), US Tax reporting

Your key responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the banks overall goals and objectives
Performance Monitoring: Establish and Deliver Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance, track progress and identify areas for improvements
BAU Deliveries: Ensure excellent business deliveries by monitoring service quality, addressing issues and complaints and implements measures to enhance the overall business quality
Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiencies through automation, process reengineering and digitization initiatives
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of operations Manger and staff, provide guidance, and foster a culture of collaboration and high performance
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and mange budgets for operations, monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Technology and Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems to support operational processes and ensure data security
Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal Stakeholders such as Senior Management, risk and compliance teams, and other departments to ensure operational alignment and effective communication
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on banking regulations, policies and ensure operational processes adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements
Business Continuity Planning: Develop, Follow, and implement plans to mitigate Operational disruptions and ensure business continuity in the event of crises
Reporting and Analytics: Monitor operational metrics, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights to Senior Management regularly for informed Decision Making
Transitions & Transformations: Manage the Operational impact of Organizational changes for all market driven and client driven changes. Ensure all transformations are successfully absorbed with no service disruption
Talent Development: Identify Skill gaps, provide training and development opportunities for operations staff and foster a culture of continuous learning
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate operational updates, challenges and strategic initiatives to Senior Management, Council Members and Other stakeholders
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes and standards to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to Service Level Agreements
Team Development: Recruit, hire, train and mentor operations manager and staff members providing guidance and support for their professional growth
Performance Management: Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance issues within the team
Workforce Planning: Assess staffing needs, develop staffing strategies an create succession plans to ensure adequate staffing levels and talent pipeline
Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work environment, promote employee satisfaction and engagement, and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale

Your skills and experienceBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Commerce is preferred.
Master degree in Commerce or business administration from reputed institute would be an added advantage.
German Language certification from premier Institute (Preferred)
15+ years of overall experience
7-8 years of leadership experience
Experience working with international clients preferably with Banking captive or 3rd party organizations.
