JOB DESCRIPTION:

• As a Database Developer, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and secure databases that support an organization\'s data management needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data analysts, and system administrators, to ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability. This position requires a deep understanding of database technologies, strong analytical skills, and a passion for developing and optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.

• Must be able to read, write and modify complex SQL queries.

• Proven experience working as a Database Developer or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, relational database, and Data Warehouse management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, etc.).

• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.

• Basic understanding of performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting common database issues.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within cross-functional teams.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

• Good understanding of, or preferably ITIL Foundation certified. Database certifications are a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking in resolving problems and documenting solutions.

• Ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a team, supporting other team members when required.

Skills:

• Designing database structures and tables

• Data Modeling

• Optimizing SQL queries to integrate with applications

• Developing functions, views, and stored procedures  

• Excellent understanding of database principles, structures, theories, and practices

• Strong SQL development skills
