Database Analyst AdministratorDescription Responsible for the installation, creation, monitoring, support, maintenance and optimization of databases; participates in design; ensures secure database access, data integrity and security, as well as manages performance and capacity. Monitors existing databases and equipment to ensure expected results are attained and all equipment is in good working order. May collect and analyze data on existing equipment and databases. Supports internal staff and IT projects by making recommendations and offering alternatives to immediate team to improve database performance. Conducts database training when necessary. Ensures database stability and reliability by following version change controls and procedures. Guarantees data security by following access and integrity controls. Ensures data integrity and disaster recovery by assisting with regular database backups under established procedures. Conducts basic database restoration when necessary. Assists with testing database backup and restore procedures. Tests basic databases to make certain database functionality meets performance requirements. Troubleshoots problems. QualificationsSkills Troubleshooting - Diagnoses and resolves the customer-identified issue by utilizing appropriate department standards to satisfy customer expectations. Performance Tuning - Conceptualizes, analyzes and solves application, database and hardware problems using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements. System Change Management - Controls the life cycle of all system changes using the required processes and tools enabling beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT services. Release and Deployment Management - Controls the plan, schedule and deployment of releases using the required processes and tools in order to deliver functionality to the business and ensure the integrity of the system as well formally handing it over to service operations. IT Operational Support - Executes ongoing activities and procedures required to manage and maintain IT services to deliver agreed service levels. Incident Management - Maintains reported issues or requests assigned via the Incident Management system to log actions taken and track trends. Experience Minimal relevant work experience required. 1-3 years of experience Help the team with the day to day operations of the CCIMS Database CCIMS is the "Customer Care Information Management System (CCIMS)" application that allows the Components businesses to improve management of Service Engineering inspection data while also improving the reporting processes and data availability to required stakeholders and decision makers. Completing user support tickets for data and issue resolution within various projects in the database in a timely manner Attention to detail is key along with the ability to identify data and system issues in the database. Take ownership of the issues and follow a logical root cause analysis process to find a reason for the issue and resolve. If you cannot resolve the issue follow defined escalation processes for resolution. Responsible for maintaining the SEFE Admin Team process documents and CCIMS Project training material in a timely manner Lead or support the cross functional Service Change Review Board process, SCRB, to formally manage database level changes that have global impact. Help Team Maintain the workflows used for the SCRB process Review SCRB request(s) in the Submit to SCRB comments data field in CCIMS to determine if the request is valid or should be rejected by following defined processes Attend SCRB Meeting(s) and actively participate in the discussion to locate any current data in Auto Upload sheet, CCIMS list library or on SCRB meeting Notes Update the SCRB SharePoint Site with the change decision from the SCRB Forum. Take attendance during the SCRB meeting and update the attendance list on the SCRB One Note If any changes to the SCRB Process update the flow and process documents Ability to work effectively in fast-paced setting, be dependable, and a team player Having above average skills with Excel, such as VLOOKUP, Formulas, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting Would prefer someone with skills using SQL, VBA (Macros), PowerBI, Microsoft Flow, Power App, SharePoint Site, this will not be your main role or responsibilities but can help you be more successful in this role Above average communication skills as we are a global team and need to be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
