You\'ll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. You\'ll also be responsible for managing user access, implementing the highest standards of security to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access.In addition, you\'ll be a disaster recovery guru, developing strong backup and recovery plans to ensure that our system is always protected in the event of a failure. Your technical acumen will be put to use, as you support end users and application developers in solving complex problems related to our database systems.As a key player on the team, you\'ll implement policies and procedures to safeguard our data from external threats. You will also conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs.You\'ll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. • Monitoring of all the critical parameters for the database such as:

- Table space, segment
- Availability of background processes
- Buffer cache utilization
- Redo log contention
- Resource intensive queries through AWR reports
- Fragmentation of table spaces, tables and indexes
- Perform maintenance activities like index maintenance as per the * 4 years\' experience in SQL database administration

• Database activity and performance monitoring
• Real Time Alerting across Multiple database metrics as listed above.
• Proactive Remedy of Alerted Issues by DB team.
• Email alert for all tickets
• Monitoring error logs and event logs and resolve the error
• DC and DR sync verification, using native utility cloud
• Ensure optimal performance of your Azure services
• Monitor and tune Azure SQL in the Azure portal
• Azure AND AWS ORACLE RDS, SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance resource monitoring.
• Query Performance Insight in Azure SQL Database
• Generate intelligent assessments of performance issues
• Monitor alerts for Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics using the Azure portal.
• Create an alert rule on a metric with the Azure portal for monitoring
• Create, modify and delete database and database objects
• Create, modify and delete users and properties
• Create, modify and delete jobs
• Perform periodic database performance tuning as per the documented procedures
• Perform periodic housekeeping of Database
• Perform orderly start-up and shutdown of database services
• Restore databases in the event of a server crash with the help of Kyndryl/Customer designated onsite personnel at the Customer\xe2\x80\x99s data centre
• Add, modify and delete permissions to database objects and troubleshoot user login
• Rectify database configuration problems
• Based on Customer\xe2\x80\x99s policy provided during transition:
• Perform regular defragmentation activities for better space management and performance
• Grant and revoke database access to users.
• Participation in DR drill
• Housekeeping on DR server- cleaning up of Archive logs and Alert logs/transaction log
• Escalation Management, if required

• Maintain Documentation all the incidences and solution provided captured as part of incident resolution & RCA.

• Evaluate Releases and Recommend Paths for Upgrading based on recommendation from application team
• DB Patching

\xc2\xb7 Table Maintenance and Optimization and archival
\xc2\xb7 Quarterly Trend Analysis on Capacity/Space,
\xc2\xb7 Database Technical Support with Production SLAs
\xc2\xb7 Status Meetings and Reports on Ongoing Environment Health and Activities on monthly basis
\xc2\xb7 Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end within defined SLA.
\xc2\xb7 Purging of DB logs and trace files
\xc2\xb7 Risk and mitigation plan
\xc2\xb7 Deployment of azure virtual machine and cloud services (PaaS role instance) into secure VNets.
