We are looking for a highly skilled individual who will act as a well-rounded MSSQL Database Administrator able to perform mid to high level troubleshooting for all Database and related issues and performance testing and monitoring.
Responsible for security, integrity, performance, availability and recoverability of databases, database servers and related systems. Understands the changing technologies associated with databases and enterprise operation systems and Hardware.
Knowledgeable in best practices, provisioning, performance monitoring; and how it relates to database performance. Plan deploy, maintain enterprise hardware and software. Works with teams on projects related to growing business needs and insuring service level agreements. PDBA will also be responsible for Production systems troubleshooting which may involve data flow analysis, stored procedure troubleshooting, profiling, index tuning, hardware capacity tuning, etc_
Knowledge on AWS managed database would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Install, Maintain, and Secure new versions RDBMS software, applications, and associated software
Manage databases and associated software insuring security, availability and recoverability
Create, monitor and secure backup plans that align with business needs
Perform optimization on production databases insuring high levels of transactions
Works with Development, Performance, and Implementation DBAs on projects related to enterprise data and systems
Deploy, Configure, and Monitor performance and perform troubleshooting
Works with Customers on troubleshooting production issues within the Customer\'s database
Requirements
Requirements/Skills/Knowledge:
3+ years relevant work experience
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MySQL and / or MS SQL Server database architecture, security, scalability, including Replication, Clustering, Mirroring, and related technologies
Knowledge of basic Transact-SQL related to Production DBA responsibilities
General knowledge in Networking concepts, practices, configuration, and troubleshooting
