Job Description

Role: DBA & Database Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

Establish and manage backup and recovery policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

Implement database security policies and procedures, including user account management and access control.

Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues.

Plan and manage database growth and scalability.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and operations.

Work with application developers and other IT team members to optimize database queries and design database architectures.

Design and implement database schemas, tables, stored procedures, views, and functions.

Develop complex SQL queries, optimize database performance, and ensure efficient data retrieval.

Integrate databases with other systems and applications, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to import and export data between systems.

Perform testing and debugging of database code to ensure quality and functionality.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and code.

Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : 5+ years of experience as a Database Developer.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in SQL and database management tools. Experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management. Proficiency in SQL and database programming languages. Experience with database design, ETL processes, and performance tuning.

Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server DBA) are a plus.

Pay: ?1,500,000.00 - ?2,000,000.00 per year
