Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of databases to ensure high levels of data availability.
• Implement and manage database security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
• Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data.
• Design and implement database schema, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Manage database access and permissions for users and applications.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and database designs.
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices to continually improve database management processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficient in database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and administration principles.
• Experience with backup and recovery processes, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and tools.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.- Added Advantage
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines- Added Advantage
• Certification in database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional, etc.).-Added Advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?16,101.03 - ?30,186.50 per month
