Job Title Database Administration - Sr Professional II What does a Senior Database Administrator role look like The Senior DBA (Oracle) will be a member of the Fiserv operations team and will be responsible for providing production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, review database queries and stored procedures, scripting maintaining and tuning Database performance to key banking applications that are managed by Fiserv. They will also be required to have a knowledge of Unix administration (mainly AIX and Linux) and will be expected to assist with ongoing initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technology and concepts and proactively seek opportunities to add value, improve efficiency and increase productivity. The candidate will work in a very challenging environment where and will be empowered to provide quality support. This is a very challenging environment and expectation is to be able to support highly critical applications 24x7 and manage to strict service levels. PostgreSQL / Couchbase/ MongoDB . Installation/configuration/setup of postgres in Windows/Linux . Cluster/HA setup configurations. . Performance tuning. . Maintaining the database server software, using utilities such as pg_ctl or psql to restart services or manually restarting them if necessary . Monitoring database performance to identify slowdowns or potential issues . Managing users and permissions, including adding new users and removing inactive accounts . Managing disaster recovery procedures to ensure that data is safe in case of a physical disaster such as fire or flood . Creating database objects such as tables, views, triggers, and indexes . Maintaining the database schema, including creating new tables, adding columns to existing tables, and deleting unnecessary tables and data . Performing regular database backups to ensure data integrity in case of a server crash . Monitoring network security to ensure that unauthorized users cannot access the database server . Performing regular scheduled maintenance on the database server, such as vacuum analysis on large tables to remove obsolete data. . Asynchronous Multimaster Replication . Synchronous Multimaster Replication . SQL-Based Replication Middleware . Logical Replication . High Availability, Load Balancing, and Replication Oracle Database Administration Oracle DBA : 11g/12c19c-Multitenant on both UNIX/windows flavors with RMAN, Datapump, Oracle patch upgrade, database creation, Cloning, Upgrade, Migration, database refresh, space management, schema management, security management, OEM and performance tuning using Explain plan/SQL TRACE/statspack/AWR & ADDM, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, OEM, Shell scripting. Golden Gate experience Installation, configuration of GG version of both 11g & 12c and maintenance of Unidirectional & bi-directional replication between Homogeneous (oracle 11g & 12c) and Heterogeneous(Terradata/DB2). zero downtime database migration using oracle golden gate 12c/19c MS SQL Server Database administration Installation, Configuration, Maintenance & troubleshooting of SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012. Daily activities such as Index Management & Statistics, Backup jobs, SQL jobs & log space monitoring, DB & sql service availability check, user management with proper security levels & db refresh. Good to have Experience with 2 or more of the following technologies: Windows servers, DDBoost Backups, Networking, Firewalls, Monitoring, Foglight, Splunk Understand and work on the concepts of server virtualization Performance monitoring, tuning, space and size management Replication, partitioning, disaster recovery and high availability solutions. Database migrations from Oracle 11g to 19c Broad experience in clustering high availability, fault tolerant systems, SAN Database Server Security, User Creation and Right Permission, Database and storage Encryption technologies (Data in motion and at rest) Understand the deployment process and provide recommendation on improving the process Scripting, PL/SQL, shell, python Experience with ServiceNow Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
