Job Description


Job Title Data Steward/Data Consultant Summary The On-Account Data Steward plays a key role in supporting the data governance program with a strong focus on Data Quality for one of Cushman and Wakefield\xe2\x80\x99s accounts. They are responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of an effective data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, compliance, data stewardship, and metadata management activities. With a deep understanding of data management principles, the On-Account Data Steward collaborates with the On-Account Data Governance Lead and stakeholders to align data governance practices with business objectives and pave the way for a data-driven culture within the organization.Responsibilities:

  • Support the On-Account Data Governance Lead across data governance and data quality initiatives required for Cushman and Wakefield\xe2\x80\x99s client
  • Implement and enforce data quality standards and best practices for the client\xe2\x80\x99s common data model (Core Meta Model)
  • Serve as a key point of contact for matters related to data quality within the client\xe2\x80\x99s Core Meta Model
  • Ensure that data within the client\xe2\x80\x99s Core Meta Model adheres to defined standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and anomalies.
  • Work with business units to understand data usage and requirements, ensuring alignment with data quality objectives.
  • Utilize data profiling tools and methodologies to maintain a high level of data integrity.
  • Support the On-Account Data Governance Lead in establishing and maintaining data quality monitoring processes
  • Develop and implement data quality dashboards and reports for ongoing monitoring.
  • Proactively identify potential data quality issues and take preventive actions.
  • Document data quality rules, standards, and procedures for the client\xe2\x80\x99s Core Meta Model
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall data governance framework
  • Collaborate with data domain owners, data stewards and business units to identify critical data elements and their relationships.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with members of the data governance working group on data quality initiatives
  • Support the implementation of metadata standards and ensuring adherence across the core meta model
  • Establish clear communication channels with data owners to ensure data stewardship and quality maintenance.
  • Support the On-Account Data Governance Lead in tracking and monitoring data governance metrics, data quality metrics/scorecards, and KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Engineering, or a degree with relevant disciplines such as information management, mathematics/statistics, business information systems
Minimum 5 years of experience in the domain (with 3+ years in commercial real estate), specifically experience in:
  • Multiple years of experience in collaborating on Data Governance frameworks; or
  • Experience with building queries or tooling to report on Data Quality statistics; or
  • Experience with contributing in Data Compliance activities
  • Expert skills in Tableau, Data Quality
  • Intermediate skills in DataIKU, Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, Agile/Program Management, Master Data Management, Stakeholder Management, Communications & Training
  • Foundational knowledge in Data Security, Data Sovereignty, Risk Management

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels, including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
  • Experience in documenting business processes in the form of process maps and step-by-step user manuals.
  • Experience in supporting system testing with entry and exist criteria.
  • Commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work.
  • Workshop facilitation skills for requirements gathering analysis.
  • Ability to build & maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to deliver.
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation (reports, specifications, requirements, etc.)
  • Good team player, also able to work independently.
