Its an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleThe primary purpose of this role is to support the Consumer Health global Safety (PV), Clinical and Medical teams through support of master data and metadata stewardship to ensure data quality, consistency and to support overall inspection readiness state.The role will involve interaction with stakeholders and tech partners to assess current state, continuously evaluating data requirements (active and archival), assess impact to companys established processes and intervene as issues are identified that will support the business in identifying operational efficiencies and KPI reporting on business activities and data quality reporting KPIs.Key responsibilities

  • Ensure quality of the data, accuracy and integrity. Promote and facilitate the consistent implementation and utilization of data, content and analytics processes, reporting solutions and other data, content and analytics deliverables.
  • Implementation of data stewardship process guidelines, best practices and standards for master data and content utilization in collaboration with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues across R&D and Consumer Healthcare to understand issues, identify opportunities, prioritize workload, and meet stakeholder needs in delivering accurate and consistent data, content, metadata and analytics. Storytelling or share the results of the captured data to provide the best options for resolution to the initial inquiry
  • Ensures that data integrity is preserved by on-going auditing of data inputs across all data entry points such as: user input, integrations, and business processes. Implement and document reports, dashboards and insights through storytelling.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions Develop high-level requirements / use cases for data & analytics to support business justification.
  • Implementation and usage of datasets, content and metadata to facilitate consistent usage, re-use and data stewardship. Ensure and support data quality standards are considered and maintained through all system versions.
  • Support Audit/Assessment/Inspection readiness and participate in system internal audits and/or external inspections as needed
  • Accountable for resolving and escalating incidents, managing user requests in collaboration with Consumer Healthcare (CH) tech team. Develop important messages relevant to all levels of stakeholders, including content and plan of systems releases, issues, etc.
Qualifications and skillsEssential
  • Bachelors degree
  • Scientific-related field, Pharma or Computer Science / Information Management / Data Science
  • Degree level science/computer background and detailed knowledge of data processes along with experience in reporting and data visualization tool core to the responsibilities of this role
  • 4+ years in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consumer healthcare industry knowledge and experience with a focus on safety / Pharmacovigilance (PV)
  • Experience in a data operations support role within the R&D environment / data domain
  • Strong professional communication skills with both technical & non-technical audiences
  • Be inquisitive for knowledge, drive for results
  • Self-motivated and capable of working cross-functionally, across geographies and cultures
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Keen to learn and continuously improve
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines
  • Experience desired in Veeva Vault, Argus, ARISg, Power BI, MS Forms, SharePoint, Expert in Microsoft Excel or similar system experience
  • Demonstrated cross functional understanding of safety regulations, ICSR, ICH, E2B R2 / R3, CIOMS, MedWatch and GxP regarding systems documentation
  • Desired understanding of, and experience with, Good pharmacovigilance practices (GVP), EMA, FDA, MHRA, Health Canada, PMDA, MFDS, NMPA etc.
  • Track record of success in continuous improvement, innovative work practices and driving change
  • Experience of working within Agile delivery methodology with an understanding of the system development life cycle a plus
Preferred
  • This role must be able to understand product master data requirements of R&D systems particularly safety database, support systems and processes along with effective collaboration, communication and escalation.
  • Technical background and computer proficiency in a variety of R&D systems, report building capabilities and familiarity with MS O365.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communications skills with a proven ability to interact well with all levels.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process and compliance improvements
  • Enhanced customer service orientation and ability to communicate professionally to diverse cross functional non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Experience in work requiring high level of attention to detail and excellent follow-up.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly & be knowledgeable about integration of new platforms as required.
  • Self-motivated, able to resolve issues with cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
