Employees will help drive innovation for Best Buy.Key Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a data governance implementation roadmap with a wide range of cross functional partners across a specific domain, iterating the roadmap based on priorities, learnings and changing regulation.
• Influence organizational leaders and changing organizational behavior to ensure data governance adoption (from data source systems through consumption).
• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the companys principal information assets.
• Own the Point of View for domain standards in Data Quality, metadata, lineage, provenance, etc.
• Partner with data engineering teams to deliver Data Quality checks, Metadata, cataloguing, lineage, etc., while iteratively reinforcing and building upon the longer-term roadmap.
• Partner with teams across Best Buy to outline the people and processes needed to solve data challenges for compliance,?security?and regulatory needs.
• Identify the KPIs and outline key workstreams to successfully deliver a data governance capability within the domain
• Collaborate with the key business capabilities leaders throughout the domain to define?(iterate)?RASCIs for populating and maintaining the data catalog and data quality metrics.
• Maintain an inventory of data products with the ability to track key quality metrics (timeliness, accuracy, completion, etc.) for the domain
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues within the domain

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in informatics, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or related field or relevant experience. Including:

• 5+ years working cross functionally and collaboratively with multiple technology and business teams to deliver as one team
• 3+ years of demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in data and data governance technologies and delivery of technical solutions
• Experience in partnering with engineering and business teams to determine data quality metrics, metadata, catalogues, etc.
• Understanding of agile software development practices
• GCC experience with a US-based company
• Experience with SQL/Big Query

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of external privacy laws and standards (DPA, GDPR, CCPA)
• GCP -specific experience
• Experience with common Data Quality tools like Collibra
• Experience in working in a product model
• Masters Degree

• This position is based in Bengaluru.
• BBY India operates under a hybrid work model (in office / remote) with an expectation for employees to be in the office three days a week Generally, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• As a global organization, maintaining collaboration across the globe is a key proposition. Within the framework of established guidelines, employees may be required to engage in extended hours during critical periods.
