Our Quantitative Research Team is seeking a talented Data Scientist to contribute to the development and execution of data-based products for the wealth management industry. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in integrating research into flagship products and reports, providing actionable analytics for better investment and business decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development and execution of various data analytics models and dashboards in financial analytics domains.
• Leverage structured and unstructured datasets to build and maintain quantitative frameworks.
• Analyze data for trends and patterns, extracting meaningful insights with an unbiased mindset.
• Implement analytical methodologies to solve problems in the financial industry.
• Develop and utilize algorithms for back-testing and error analysis to enhance model uniformity and accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and machine learning engineers to implement analytical models into production or commercialization.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with a focus on product development.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• Degree in a highly quantitative field: Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.
• 4-6 years of working experience in data-related positions, including data querying, data analysis, and linking datasets.
• Proficiency in data mining, knowledge of probability theory, and advanced statistical techniques.
• Experience with regression analysis (beyond linear regression), supervised learning, unsupervised learning, or time-series analysis.
• Proficient in scientific scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, etc.).
• Experience accessing and manipulating data in SQL database environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of AWS-related toolkits: Lambda, Glue, Batch, etc.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile/Scrum.
• Knowledge of code pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS Code Pipeline.
