Summary: What you need to know about the role- The primary role of the Data Scientist 1 on the DW Analytics team is to play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making and shaping the future of DW portfolio. This involves utilizing advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product optimization. Meet our team We are part of DW Analytics team where we focus on initiatives which aims to enhance consumer engagement through various product changes. We work closely with Product, Engineering, and design team to make sure we have full visibility on E2E experience and instrumentation. : Your way to impact This is an opportunity to grow yourself as an analytics leader within the consumer product analytics team and PayPal in general. In the process, this person will develop a deep understanding of the Consumer experience, PayPal products, our site functionality, further strengthen their analytic skills, and gain exposure to a wide variety of functional teams within PayPal. Your day to day In your day to day role you will: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to define key metrics, develop data-driven strategies, and deliver actionable recommendations. Design and implement experiments to evaluate product changes, measure their impact, and provide insights for continuous improvement. Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the entire process. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics, and contribute to the team\'s knowledge sharing and best practices. What do you need to bring- Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Proven experience as a data scientist, preferably in a product-focused role. (5 years of relevant experience) Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, data modelling, and working with large data sets. Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and visualization. Solid understanding of SQL Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
