Job Title- Data Scientist

Job Responsibilities:

Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes. Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data Very good experience in Time Series Forecasting. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms. Combine models through ensemble modelling. Present information using data visualization techniques. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges. Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis. Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions. Keep up to date with latest technology trends. Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers. Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis. Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering or relevant field, graduate degree. in Data Science or another quantitative field is preferred 3-8 years' practical experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst Experience with programming languages such as Java/Python an asset Understanding of machine-learning and operations research Deep Knowledge of SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset. Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop) Analytical mind and business acumen Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra) Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation. Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills Problem-solving aptitude * Excellent communication and presentation skill
